Programs at East Fork
Children:
The children's group at East Fork holds a special worship service geared to each child every Sunday Morning during the regular worship service. The group lead by Mark and Angie Trull is very active and on fire for the Lord.
Youth:
The Youth Group at East Fork is very active. From yearly Youth Camp excursions to special trips to Dollywood and more the youth group at East Fork not only has fun, but lives for the Lord. They enjoy teaching each other participating in many mission projects and taking care of many projects around the church. The youth group welcomes new members to the group, so please check the calendar of events to find out what they're planning next. Click here to view our Youth page.
RAs:
The RA or Royal Ambassadors group at East Fork meets at 7PM every Wednesday. The RAs are quite active in the community performing many mission projects for widows, and other people in our community. They also visit the shut-ins, others in our age groups, and the lost in our community. They participate in the annnual RA wooden car derby each year in which they build wooden derby cars during each weekly session that is held in March each year. They also start each meeting with a mission study that shows them just how others are out working in the world to further the work of Jesus. The RA boys then take those teachings out into the community as mentioned above.
GAs:
The GA group at East Fork lead by Wendy Rector and Georgiann Henson is for girls in grades K-5. They have collected coats for the homeless, fixed sunshine baskets for nursing home residents, and collected money for missions overseas. They meet each Wednesday evening at 7PM, and are quite active in their mission work.
Acteens:
The Acteens Group lead by Loretta Griffith is for girls in grades 6-12. They have collected items for the low income families in Haywood County and more.
WMU:
The WMU group at East Fork is a wonderful outreach program. These ladies have a visitation system in place for shut-ins, elderly, and nursing home residents. They collect bags of cornmeal and money for the Christian Women's Job Corp. of Haywood County. The WMU meets monthly.
Training Union:
The Adult Training Union class meets on Sunday evenings. The class lead by Jim Fore is currently completing a study of the Book of Revelation. This class is an exciting, fun-filled experience, in which the Word of God is attracting many. All are welcome.
Adult Choir:
The Adult Choir lead by Darla Metcalf sings a wide variety of songs each Sunday. From Traditional "Red-Book" hymns to contemporary Christian music, they sing praises to the Lord. They also perform Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cantatas. There is no need to audition for the choir and practices are not manditory (although they are held each Wednesday evening), so if you like to sing join us this Sunday morning. They are currently working on their Christmas cantata entitled "The Love of God at Christmas", a musical filled with traditional Christmas carols and arrangements that will intrigue everyone.
